I'm not saying they were wrong, either. I am saying you were wrong. You may have misunderstood it, which is understandable since those shows take ideas spawned from years and years of theoretical development by dozens of scientists and repackage them for a dude-bro sitting on a Lazy Boy eating Cheeto's. They're nothing but doomed to retell the tale in a dumbed down manner. It is like trying to describe a movie to a friend who speaks little English.
I agree though, they are interesting. I like that they broadcast science related stuff to the masses. I wish more people would watch those types of shows, even.
