Lords of Death Forums Is Darkfall worth it?

What's up LoD? Been a VERY long time since I stepped foot in the MMORPG world. I've been around since Baja UO. Some of you may know me. Most probably not.

Played with some of you guys in Shadowbane when it first came out, but I think my pc was outdated. Would always freeze in large battles and come back dead.

Anyway, life has been so busy, I haven't even thought of playing an online game in a long time. Afraid to get sucked in.

Life's slowed down a bit though. I'm friends with Black Jack irl. Met him in UO actually. Funny story. We've both been talking about downloading the free trial and checking this game out. That fucker lives in Germany atm though, so finding an acceptable time to play together is going to be rough.

Anyway, got a few questions if I may and if anyone feels like answering.

1. Is this game awesome or what? Worth the time to get past the learning curve?

2. All BS aside, what system requirements do you need for this game to run smoothly? I have icore7, but the video card is pretty basic.

3. Maybe I've missed it, but what server do you play on? I'm assuming there is servers in this game right?

Literally 60 seconds after I wrote the above post my lady leans off the couch and blows chunks all over the floor. Wtf?! And the last thing she ate was cookies n milk so it literally smells like a 130 pounds baby puked all over my living room.

The irony? She ate the last of something in the fridge I specifically asked her to save for me. I love her to death, but that'll teach her to eat ole iron guts leftovers.

I wouldnt play anything else on any console or pc right now. This game is already better than UO ever was.

Been around since UO Baja also, and played most games in between then and now, and I would say this is the best MMO yet, hands down.

But it will suck you in.

Oh yea...and how mediocre of a video card can I really get away with for this game?

There are only 2 servers, NA and EU. We play on NA.

Just gonna have to try it, seems processor is more important than the video card though, but of course the better in both departments, the better overall.

2) You probably need to make some tweaks to video settings but it should run decent.

This is the best FFA PVP, full loot game in the fantasy genera.
With help you can be competitive in about 2-3 months, You can contribute in battles almost right out of the gate.

Next time you talk to Blackjack tell him to drop by the boards have not seen him since our poker tournament.

I wanted to d'load the free trial and get started this weekend, but he's taking his wife and little girl to Berlin for the weekend. I may d'ld it anyway though and get rocking. I think he has more free time than me at this point and I could probably use the head start.

Yea that's what drew me to this game, was the full loot and PvP, like UO in the good ole days. It's risky, but that's what I love about it.
