population clearly determines the games worthyness.. SB is no more now because of its lack of population, it was a fun game and yes we had fun playing it but the game died because of population. DF hasn't been able to support ONE server since it released you really want to say that population has no barring on its worthyness? Give me a break if the game was even 1% as good as these fucks try and make it sound they could atleast fill the server lol.

Didn't download the trial...got a cpl more rl buds I'm trying to convince to try it out and they are lazy sacks of shit when it comes to anything new and challenging. Evony??? I do appreciate the little bit of substance the post has. I want the negative opinions as well as the good. Other than the "grind" of building skills, do you have any other specific reason why you feel the game is a pile of shit?

Define "depth of PvP"....? What is depth of pvp to you? Can you be more specific?

Also, I have read both here and the DF official forums that the game has made a TON of progress since it was launched. Have you played since then? Is that an inaccurate statement?

Definitely the best I've played since UO and I play every day and have since beta. The game has improved in leaps and bounds since then with more to come if they keep on this track.

do youself a favor and dl the trial.

Just try the trial account and see how you like it. Tyrantor hasn't even played the game before. So take that into account when listening to him. He's just LoD fanboi 2.0

Anyone who plays the game will give you an honest interpretation of what to expect. Before the trial is over and you have to pay any money at all, you will know EVERYTHING you need to know about whether you want to continue playing. You will know all the positives and negatives, as long as you play pretty often during your trial.

Pretty simple:

It's an endless grind, but you have a shit ton of fun during that time. And tops it should take you 1-2 months to have a competitive character.

Half a month to beat the baddies.

incase your wondering why "anyone who plays will give you a "honest" interpetation" you should take into account there are so few people playing they would say and do just about anything to add to the limited population.

you do forumulate some amazing posts rainman talking about honesty and lying one sentance above it.

also I could give two shits if you play or not so I'm not here to give you in depth examples, I'm only posting because I think its funny people are still recomending the game to people.

Jesus christ Ty, there's a free trial. It's not like the game has a damn 54.99 a month fee to play. For gods sake make your own opinions of the game and don't base them off what anyone else says.

If you're looking for an MMO to play with some LoD, then go for it. Free trial, you could like it.

It will take a lot of grinding and macroing to get your char playable, so be prepared. It would be wise to find someone in the guild to afk macro with you so you can get playable sooner.

They constantly come out with new upgrades that improve the game, but the honest truth is that it is a little too late for a lot of people, thus the low population.

You may enjoy it, or you may not. As you can tell with these posts people feel both ways.
