The story of Special Olympian Skip...
Skip started off strong and at around 10 meters, almost loosing his balance and started doing a nub stand Jackie Chan kick.
Skip picks up the pace and starts burning flesh at around 25 meters.
Skip beats his previous best record set with his prosthetic.
At 45 meters Skip meets his biggest challenge yet, a high jump that comes up to his shoulders. Undaunted, Skip kicks it over and flings his working leg over the obstacle.
Skip is having trouble with balancing the high jump, so he drags his nub across the jump and moves forward.
At about 85 meters, Skip learns how to skip with his nub, by now I'm laughing profusely and resign the fact that I am now going to hell.
At the end of the race Skip meets a last challenge, the dreaded
water jump, the size of a docile creek....feared by all special Olympians. Unfazed, Skip takes one last skip and flings his working leg across the water and steps on the finish line.
Skip is a national hero! ALL HAIL MASTER SKIP.
