SherkBORG]Correct me if im wrong, but he was found dead meaning he basically won until he died, in that case stunk up the place and they said here... you can have him? Thats pretty much it right?
As far as im concerned, hes the greatest hide and seek champion ever and managed to say F.U. USA and won.
He wasn't found dead Sherk. A special forces team killed him after a 40 minute firefight while he used one of his wives as a human shield.

"WASHINGTON — A woman killed during the raid of Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan was not his wife and was not used as a human shield by the al Qaeda leader before his death, a U.S. official said on Monday, correcting an earlier description.
John Brennan, President Barack Obama's top counter- terrorism adviser, told reporters earlier that the slain woman had been one of bin Laden's wives and had been used -- perhaps voluntarily -- as a shield during the firefight.
However, a different White House official said that account had turned out not to be the case. Bin Laden's wife was injured but not killed in the assault.
U.S. officials have said a small U.S. strike team, dropped by helicopter to bin Laden's hide-out near the Pakistani capital of Islamabad under cover of night, shot the al Qaeda leader dead with bullets to the chest and head. He did not return fire."

Rolo]The "I's" and "My's" were a way for him to convey that he personally, as the leader of the world's most powerful country, authorized the mission and to publicly declare to the world that he takes full responsibility for our illegal incursion into another country. No matter what happens, this operation doesn't even leave the ground unless the man in charge puts his ass on the line and says "do it".
If it had gone wrong, you and everyone else would be skewering him like a roasting pig on an open fire. He and he alone would be responsible if those men didn't make it back alive, and the sword cuts both ways. It went our way thankfully.
He did give credit to the intel people and the guys on the ground as well. Valid point, but I doubt he would have been so pointed about his own involvement if something had gone terribly wrong. More accurately, I doubt we would have heard anything about it at all. With his approval ratings in the toilet as new presidential candidates emerge (ok, so Trump isn't really a threat), this couldn't have come at a better time for Mr. Obama.

Goldmund]P.S., his announcement was awful self centered. A lot of "I" and "my" in it. "At my direction...", "I". I'd bank on his being asleep when it actually happened. Nah, he had a personal hand in making it happen. Take a closer look at the picture.

That pic is awesome! Back on topic of the UBL case. How crazy is it that he has been in Abbottabad, which looks like an average suburban city. Some internal documents are saying he may have been there 5-6 years! There is absolutely no way pakastans intelligence didn't know he was there. Which is why we never told them we were going to do the raid. Lets see if they are held accountable or if we are going to continue to give them 2 billion a year in aid.
