i like a RL valuation of my time/items.

makes it easy to determine whether or not its worth it.

with fun factored in of course. Who wants a UO castle for 1600?

Ok I guess you didn't understand my point... I'm not talking about kids who live in grandmas basement, who in actuality can probably afford to buy in game items due to no other financial obligations and grandmas spare change. I'm also not talking about entertainment value. I was also not judging people for spending RL $ on games(I've done it!).

Some people work, a lot and long hours, but don't have disposable income(not even referring to myself here) to buy e-items(or go to a football game for that matter). You sound like someone who has never had an issue with finances before. I.E. Ignorant.

No I don't think it's fair that wealthy people like you can have the competitive edge in games.

RL $ for competitive advantage is lame.

RL $ for competitive advantage exists in every single competitive game. Every MMO and every single sport on the planet.

Even in good games like DF, where gear isnt instant win... the guy that can buy gold from chinese farmers is gonna have an edge on you.

Have to just go after the skill based games... then hope your skills out match his wallet. Look at how much dragon Khan has lost for example.

Right now people are doing it illegally, as Rainman said.. With a built in system it'll be the norm and much more prevalent.

It's whatever man, I just think it's lame and greedy on game designers part.

Loot is instanced per character now so you could quad box 4 characters and just do runs all day and probably make some real money if you get lucky.

Hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but if you "work alot, and long hours" and you can't afford $60-$100 on a hobby you enjoy, than you shouldn't be playing games. You should be either
A.) looking for a new Job.
B.) Further your education so you can stop making jail wages.

To all you virgins, thanks for nothing.
