Yeah, and they will try to charge you for coming out now. Ever since AT&T took over the Bells, this sort of thing has been happening a lot. I ended up dropping them, because they were going to charge me for them to come out, even though it was their equipment that went to shit. Of course, they tried to charge several people in the neighborhood to come out, and check their lines. Once they fixed their hardware, they made no attempt to apologize, or refund money to people they charged for coming out, when it was a problem with their equipment. I'm hearing the same stories from old Pacbell, Southwestern Bell, South Bell, and Ameritech customers; who are now dealing with AT&T.
