these are the existential questions that keep me up at night...

Seriously though, the answer is probably, 'no it isn't Diablo,' however I would argue that Blizzard still produces quality games(people could argue WoW/expansions but I don't buy it). I'll be really surprised if I don't enjoy Diablo 3 in some manner.
