I'll be playing it until GW2 cames out. I felt I atleast needed to try it because it is a "Diablo" game. However I also feel like it isn't going to live up to anyones expectation and will wind up being a time filler game for most people.

Guild Wars 1 was a diablo type game that people thought was suppose to be an MMO. Guild Wars 2 just fully embraced the MMO hype and GW2 doesn't feel diablo'ish at all. It's more of an MMO than anything.

A lot of people I know claim to be looking forward to making rl $ the most. They seem to be under some impression that because it's Blizzard they're going to do something about Chinese gold farming. They just don't seem to get that they did do something about it. They made it legit and are now getting a cut, and from what I hear it's not a marginal one.

When they try to throw an item up for $25 or whatever they think they can get, the next day when there's 300 for 25 cents will probably catch them up to speed. I would be surprised to see even the most hardcore farmers who aren't botting make enough to buy a bag a month; but, if that does happen I'm totally in!

The bot place I go to, they said it would be expected that any hardcore farmer would at best be able to make 10-20$ a month. If a rare item drops maybe more but people were assuming mad cash but the reality is, a few bucks a month will most likely be what it turns into.
