I'm not sure why you're arguing this then TV shows typically have a biannual scheduled showing of two seasons or series which ever term you want to use.

Outside of MAYBE the very first season/series of 10-13 shows to determine the audience base they are filmed in the entirety for that year.

Because you got outsorced by supernatural or w/e for what I would assume was some re-write by the network doesn't mean that they don't film their two seasons in 1 year. I'll concede that 3 would be a bit of a push.
