Ok buddy, well when someone kicks down your door with an AR-15 and your holding a 1890's revolver people are gonna hear your asshole clinch from 1000 miles away. Your missing the fucking point. Black market dealers want guns banned in America because they are gonna be able to make 10 times as much money. The mark up on automatic weapons is gonna be ridiculous. Leaving out insults and focusing on facts Selminus, I do have to ask....what makes you think it's paranoid to believe that our government could collapse and leave its citizens to fend for themselves?This history of mankind shows us that governments come and go like the seasons. Why do you think it's so crazy to be prepared in the event that some sort of social or civil conflict leaves Americans in a position to need to defend their homes and families? Do I think this is likely to happen? No, not in my lifetime. Do I believe that it's a possibility? Yes, I do. Better be safe than sorry man....

I think it's incredibly unlikely Verm. It brings up several questions/points for me.

1. How do you end up in the type of situation where someone is going to "kick your door in with an AR-15"? Living in the ghetto? Selling drugs? Has this happened to anyone you know that was living a legit life?

2. If we had that type of collapse don't you think there would be A LOT of precursors that would give you enough of a heads up to either leave the country or then obtain the weapons? Do you see any hints of this currently?

3. Why are my insults the only ones you're identifying?

4. Is it sensible to fire an assault rifle in a close quarter home invasion setting, or would you run the risk of killing a family member or neighbor? I'm not in the military - but aren't shotguns and small firearms superior choices for that situation?

I'm glad you think such of your career that you throw it around on forums to back an arguement instead of using logic. I have a lot of friends that have served and think they'd be incredibly embarrassed to see you doing that.

I have also partaken in countless surgeries at 2am because people that easily obtain these weapons shot each other, shot children in passing cars ( with assault rifles ) and killed numerous bystanders with modified assault rifles that they purchased for next to nothing at gun shows.

Have you ever seen a 3 year old come into the OR with a bullet in his spine because we are so rabid to protect our right to bear arms that they're easier to buy than pot?
