Home invasion? Someone comes into my house trying to steal shit Ima be prepared. Not a radical point of view. I work in law enforcement and that shit happens all the time. In my 7 years in surgery and after working on numerous police officers I still haven't heard of a situation where people just started flooding into someones home when it wasn't a result of their lifestyle. And for the third time - didn't I state that CIVILIANS shouldn't have access to these types of weapons, did that comment include you? Should I even be asking you this considering how ridiculous and presumptious your comments are? Can you remind me how much cops make a year while we're at it?

I don't have any issues with people having guns, or what kind of guns they have. It's not the guns themselves that are bad, its the retards pulling the trigger with fucked up heads. If at night someone decided to break into my house, I can promise you he will not leave this premises with a distinguishable face. I'm not going to sit there and question the person why he broke into my house, i'm simply going to defend my family. And believe me if I had a cannon i'd use that instead.

I have been in more life threatening situations than you or your entire family will ever be in, I do not believe that regulating magazine capacity or certain weapons will have any effect on the overall availability of weapons. (use the 1994 Ban as a measure, like i already posted about and you must of missed.. look the statistics up for yourself.) The USA is already saturated with weapons to the point that there are more than one for every man, woman and child. You have made absolutely no valid points except for regurgitating shit you heard on MSNBC, NBC and maybe the BBC.. Gun control legislation will not have an effect here at all. Are you familiar with the legislation put forth many many years ago in Australia? Even a massive federal buy back system like they had will not deter weapons getting into the hands of the wrong people here at home. Are you familiar with gun regulation in the country of Mexico? they have strict gun laws and we all know how that has worked out for them. Like i have repeatedly said before, you are delusional. Military and Police have access to these weapons already as they should but preventing and regulating civilians from having the same (in terms of semi-automatic weapons) will not work, like i said previously, we are already so saturated with them and that's not going to change despite all the liberal brew-ha-ha you are buying into on the news. Basically I'm saying that you don't even have the knowledge or experience to be getting into a serious conversation about this subject, let alone with somebody like me, who obviously has a much vaster knowledge than you do.

1. I think this was directed at someone else? I personally think an assault rifle is a TERRIBLE choice for defense against home invasion because 1. The bullets penetrate multiple walls and you risk injuring a family member or neighbors and 2. In close quarters, I'll take my 12 gauge with buckshot vs. your assault rifle any day.

2. Yes I do but I also think by then, if there were any weapons left to buy, the prices would be vastly inflated. I'll buy mine now, while they are legal and regularly priced. Yes, I do see signs that worry me about the future. In case you haven't been paying attention, our civil liberties have been getting chipped away at steadily over the years. The 911 legislation that allows our country to hold people without bail, without charging them, without providing them with a phone call and without access to an attorney simply by stating they are suspected of terrorism is very disturbing to me. Does the fact that our country charges into wars blindly without the support of the UN on questionable grounds not worry you? We've been lucky this far because we've not picked a fight with anyone that could really stand up to us. There are many other things that cause me concern as well. But like I said, although I don't see this happening in my lifetime, you just never know...

3. I think you interpreted a tone that wasn't there on this one. I simply meant I'd like to continue to engage in a healthy debate with you and that I would prefer if you and I left out the insults to one another and didn't get into the kind of pointless back and forth you and G-Fist are doing.

4. You are 100% right on this one, which I said above. But I would not have an assault rifle for this purpose. For me, an assault rifle is for 2 purposes 1. Fun. I like to shoot guns at targets. The bigger the better. If I could own grenades, I would, lol. 2. If the shit hits the fan, and this country does collapse, I'd like an array of weapons for various purposes. Each type of gun (assault rifle, sidearm, long rifle, and shotgun) has it's purpose.

Ok G-Fist this is what I wanted out of you despite the minor and unfounded insults in the post. Now if you can stay level headed long enough to answer these questions, and maybe even read my original post which agreed with you except for #5 which sent you into a complete frenzy.

1. Why aren't we giving all the unemployed veterans jobs protecting us here at home?

2. Why should civilians have access to heavy weaponry when we have you and RallyCry here to protect us, and is an AK-47 the most intelligent choice to stop a home invasion considering the proximity many people have of family, roomates and neighbors thru the wall?

3. Isn't buying them back from the streets which has already been done, and continuing to improve border security a step in the right direction?

5. Do I have to be a cop or a soldier to have an opinion about this when I live here too and have seen countless innocents come into the operating room dead or maimed by teenagers who can easily buy high powered weapons?
