Do you own a gun? You do understand that both the state level Dept of Justic and the Fed Dept. of Justice record all firearm sales and that gun is registered to you by its serial number. So you're telling me people buy guns legally and then sell them illegally to kids? I dunno dude....that seems like an awful big stretch to me.... Don't you think the ATF would be knocking on these people's doors after catching the kids with these guns wanting to know how the hell they got a hold of them?
I can only assume they're filing off the serial numbers (which is EXTREMELY difficult with newer guns because the serial numbers are stamped into the metal in multiple places). But even so, this only proves my point....if people want to buy guns, there will always be people that will sell them.
I don't really see how this helps prove your point and in fact, I think it hurts it. Normal upstanding citizens like myself would not buy an assault rifle if it was illegal. I wouldn't want to risk the felony. But these gang bangers you're talking about will buy the guns because they don't give a shit.
My point is, those who have no regard for the law will not be affected by new laws. It would just disarm those of us who respect it.
