Robocop 1 is the first movie I can actually remember from my childhood seeing it at the drive in movie theater.. I must have been 3 or 4 when it came out & it was epic.
I like the black suit w/ the red visor that shit looks pretty fucking bad ass.. I hope, like the original, they have the scene where they show the 'failed' experiments.. like the one where they turn the one on & it freaks out ripping off his own helmet/head.. or the other one where they turn it on & he just starts opening fire on all the scientists.
I don't care if its shitty I'm a sucker for the stuff of my childhood.. now where's the 2014 remake of Goonies?

Vermithrax]That's subjective. Do I think it will have the sharp satirical edge the original did? No. Do I think it will have as solid of a plot? No. Do I think it's a waste of time? No. I happen to enjoy action movies with cool special effects.
I sort of think of the new gen remakes as the hot slutty bitches you bang a couple times and never talk to again. Would I but it and watch it many times over a period of decades, like the original? No. Would I give it a whirl and enjoy it once or twice and forget it? For certain. No the new gen remakes are more like meeting back up with that girl you banged when you were 18 and now at 40 you find out how much each of you has learned.

So far the only thing I haven't liked about this next Robocop is the 1 human hand thing they got going.. atleast give him the nintendo power glove or something.... guess I just liked how in the original they blew off the guys limbs with pointblank shotgun shots & in this one it sounds like he was set on fire/blown up.. not as cool as the first.
None of you can tell me that the black suit doesn't look badass though.. looks kinda like the Crysis armor now that I think about it

Boring. Will I watch. I'll certainly steal it since that's basically what the studio did.
Actually, I'll rewatch Dredd instead. That was a movie that understood the unintentional comedic value of 80's excess and pushed it beyond the breaking point.
