Sony is the leader when it comes to pushing new media and formats, dont be suprised when things are announced
A 4k movie takes over 100 gigs, blue rays wont even fit them, so we are talking about a major media upgrade before that happens. Otherwise you are just upscaling 1080p. It's more like q4 2015 not 2014.
