I carry every day. I have never had cause to so much as reveal that I have a gun on me(even though this is an open carry state so I could wear it on my hip). I have been in many altercations where I could draw and fire then get away with it, but I never even thought about it because logically I was not in fear for my life in any of those instances.

I see too many people preemptively use their carry weapon and claim they were fearing great bodily harm when there were many other ways out of the scenario.

Biggest problem is you just have to prove a "resonable" person would feel that way in that situation, but I do not feel that those of us who carry guns should be measured by what a "resonable" person would do. We should be more cacluated in our actions than your average joe because we can end a life in an instance.

I guess I am just saying we should be held to a higher standard in order to retain our carry permits.
