I'm trying and failing to convince you all of the irrelevance of debating this issue on this scale. You get different results depending on where you conduct the study. The US isn't economically, racially, or culturally homogenous. Our constitution was made during a period in enlightenment thinking where it was fashionable to think of mankind as one huge monolithic entity. You're not going to rationalize your way into a one-size-fits-all solution for a country that spans a continent.

Unless you guys are just talking about California, in which case that's up to you as far as I'm concerned.
