I wouldn't go with Kimber. I think it's kinda the Apple of firearms. More expensive than what it is really worth. I'd give Springfield, Colt, or Sig a look over Kimber (the warranties speak for themselves).
This. Read the reviews from trusted sources on guns you're considering purchasing. I wanted a glock but ended up going with a Ruger SR9. Almost identical to a glock, just as reliable, better safety features (I plan to train my son with it), and it was $150 cheaper than a glock.
Kimber is a nice brand, no doubt. But for the same money, you can get a 1911 that's just as nice for cheaper.
I own a good selection of firearms, including a Kimber. Kimber is an american piece of art. Very few 1911s come even close to the fit and finish. The trigger alone makes it worth 100 times even my sig max michel edition.
The rest of this conversation is about polymer guns which feel like toys and interest me not
Yea but you can't beat polymer guns for concealed carry.
