Vermithrax]Maybe that's why I'm not so quick to beat my kid. I was born and raised in the Old South. Memphis, TN. It was still legal to paddle kids with a big ass wooden stick when I was in grade school there. My dad was quick to resort to that to solve all problems as well. Coming from that and having a kid of my own now, I can say from experiencing both sides, there's a better way. Like I said, I definitely spanked my kid a time or two when he got really out of hand. But believe it or not, if you're a reasonably intelligent person, your kids usually are too and you'd be surprised how much you can resolve by simply...I dunno....talking to them?
So a debate with your child were you teach him that it's ok to debate in a disrespectful manner to an adult is learning to "express himself"?

Like many in this thread, you're drawing some really assinine conclusions based off a short video.
If you mean one of those super stars, you're right. The kid probably got the best possible combination of DNA he could from his mom and I. He should be writing me thank you notes every day for that shit.
All jokes aside, some of the members here have met my son and I'm sure they will tell you he is very well behaved and respectful. And guess what? I didn't have to beat his ass every time he said something I didn't like to make him that way. Shocker.
