I was about to brag that I started the most monster thread on the forums, but the Bitter material has 3600 views, and the Concealed Carry thread has something insane, like 14,000 views? Cracks me up though -- these threads are like viruses. They start out as one thing and then mutate into something totally different.

Fly, I am going to try and break down your last post piece by piece to give you an idea of how this all looks from outside your head.

This isn't entirely accurate. Intelligent, free thinking people tend to use a pretty systematic approach to understanding issues. If I read some Harvard scientists theories that didn't jive with my understanding of science, I would not believe it simply because he's a Harvard scientist. Then again, he wouldn't be an Ivy League level academic if he didn't use well established scientific and mathematical principles as the foundation of his theories.

Also, it's not surprising that the numbers will be different. A study is only as good as the level of scientific knowledge that exists at the time the study is taking place. That's why trying to predict what the maximum population threshold is, is really mostly educated guess work. Predicting what you think will happen based on what you know right now. That doesn't mean it's wrong. It simply means it is imprecise and the articles I linked you pretty much say exactly that.
