Some of the visions showed future events, zombie horse for one and the destroyed throne room for the other. If the dragon shadow over Kings Landing was a vision of the past then it serves no point to the story and would be a red herring of no value.
Using Brans visions to trick the audience would completely devalue future events in the story and if the writers pulled that stunt then fuck them.

The xbow shot was in the nuts in teh book i think. It was pretty good 8/10 finale, I thought they would maybe throw in a Zombie Cat tho... if u know what I mean.
