"I get the feeling you have a deeper...darker...scarier... observation to make about our nefarious law enforcement and government."

Oh really? Did you consult your crystal ball for that one? Or are you telepathic? Tarot cards? This statement would be funny if it weren't so ignorant and full of sincerity. I don't give half a shit what imaginary additional observations you dream up that I might make Plexx. Save those stupid comments for someone else. That shit will get no play here.

"As for point 1, you're scared that robocop is going to take your guns and freedoms, I get it." Another ignorant shit talk statement with no basis in fact. I've explained in great detail in prior posts why I think the militarization of law enforcement is bad. I'm not even going grace this statement with a further response. If you want to know why I think it's bad, go read. Or don't and sit here and make token sarcastic and biting remarks that I'm sure you think are hilarious ( Sonya is WAY better at it) but mean nothing in the context of what we're talking about right now. I don't really give a damn either way. Your opinion of me matters about as much to me as what 13 year old girls post on their social media pages.

"You want to be a internet-liberty champion and post them on the LoD-forums and tell us how fucking mad you are about it? Go ahead." For the record, I didn't start this thread. But if the topic matters to me, yea, I will post my opinion on it. It relieves my boredom at work. If you don't like it, then don't read my posts. K thx.

Re: the rest of what you said, I actually DO care about how police treat minorities. I'm not a racist and I believe that Americans of every gender and race deserve to enjoy the same freedoms. You can choose to believe that or not. Again, that matters very little to me. I listed WAY more than one video in this thread. The reason these videos are becoming more prevalent is because video cameras are the norm on cell phones now, social media and people becoming aware of WHY they should video tape interactions with police. For every one of these videos you see, there's been many other similar occurrences that didn't get video taped. If you want to dismiss these videos as being invalid because you "don't know the context", fine, go ahead.

Finally, something we can both agree on. Police DO need to be held accountable. And they should ALL have cameras on their uniforms. I knew you'd come around eventually. Accountability for their actions doesn't happen nearly as often as it should and THAT is why I made the comment I did to Rhangar. If you actually care, I can easily link you MULTIPLE articles about instances around the country where innocent, unarmed people were killed by police. In many of these instances, it resulted in millions of tax payer dollars being paid out in civil suits to the families of the victims but magically, didn't result in the criminal conviction or termination of the officer(s) involved.
