I doubt it will be subtext, but hopefully it won't get in the way. I read this article as a puff piece, and I hope half of the things said in it are as wildly exaggerated as they sound, particularly the part about extras with fleshed out back stories. I absolutely don't want to see a mad max movie with a bunch of chatterboxes going on about "muh freedom and dignity." I want to hear Australians say the word "geesoleene" every other word. I'm torn about the ultraleft radfem shit because making her a genderfluid transfurry is a straight shot to so-bad-it's-good territory.
