I'll tell about a few that I can remember doing... One classic one was finding a rich person at any bank.. You have to tell them you are selling a big house, such as a tower, and at a really good price too. Once you have a rich person that is interested you make sure that you talk to them in the bank. Then you have to start a bullshit story about how you have been ripped the fuck off in the past and you need to know he is for real, when he asks how he can prove it you ask him to tell his balance so you "know he can afford it". Keep in mind this was before checks were available to you so whatever most people had was in gold in their banks. Well, the guy would say balance and you would see his balance, for sake of the story lets say its 500,000 gold. You tell him, alright, looks good. Then you gate to your house, it doesnt matter if its a tower, you can do it through a small house or a brick whatever... in fact, you found more buyers with the small house idea. Regardless, once you're at the house you have a vendor there with 3 potions in his back pack all stacked on top of each other so they look like one potion. Before you say anything about hte vendor and your buyer was looking around the house you set the price of the second potion to whatever the guys bank account said (in this case 500,000 gold). Then you put the other potion on top of it and price it at like 5 gold. Now you ask the guy, hey would you buy that potion really quick so I can deed my vendor or else it won't let me transfer the house. Back in the day you had to say vendor buy to buy something, so as soon as he says this you snag the top potion off the vendor, which he wont see happen, and he buys the potion for 500,000 using the money from his bank account. After he does that, you pretty much either bail, hide, log out, or have some people waiting to kill him. Either way it was an awesome scam that worked for lots and lots of gold. The biggest bitch about it was transfering the gold from the vendor to the bank, but hell, it was well worth it.

Was the one in which you get a house (a small one preferably) nearby a tower and advertised at the bank you were quitting uo, selling all your stuff so you can sell the gold on E-Bay. As soon as someone asked what you were selling, you told them a tower... they would ask how much, you would tell them something like 13-17 mils... thats an awesome price for a tower right? Well, okay, you gated them there, and as soon as they showed up, with a check on their bag, and were ready to transfer the house, you would them give them your small house... and since no one carried compasses, they wouldn't know what house they were buying! You would sell your small house for 13-17 mils, not bad eh?<br><br>

well i would do this in 2000 and 2001 mostly. I did this with 2 computers.
<br>First i find a person who lives in a nice tower who plays all the time. (I did this in the summer, usually a kid plays 24/7 in the summer because they dont have school and kids tend to be stupid). Then i took notes with microsoft pad. I would take notes on who there friends are and what guild they are in etc. Then i would go in and say hey its your best friend(insert name of fucker who keeps going to the house.) Sence it was a kid, he would be so gullable and not even ask questions about who. I would say i need you to friend me because im working on a carpenter and need to store wood or some shit. Then i would say i have to go and 47 minutes later i would log on, call my g up and loot that motherfucker dry. This only worked 2/3 times for me. But i was prettey good at it then some fat fag came up to me once (i think it was abbot) and tryed that shit i was like dude you suck at it.

<br>Another scam well it wasnt really a scam but i had a soso thief character who would hide at nice vendor spots. When a person went to buy something nice i would steal it right when they recall.

It's not a scam, but I had lots of fun doing it, making Ojs chase me inside my house, and have a mare, friends, anything hidden inside, and waiting to lock them up with crates, worked almost everytime, and got myself lots of good magic weps... regs... pots... and armor. Some of you probably remember that small tower by the Yew gate by a huge tree. I lived there... It decayed later on It had like 20 mils inside bah.... fuck Osi.<br><br>

I would ask the person where they wanted a house, then wherever they said I would act like I owned the perfect house there, but I always needed half up front. When they gave me the money I would say "hah sucker" and run to the inn and log out. I had AOL so they would chase me cussing me out. It's amazing how many people get excited and are more than willing to pay half up front or all of it before they get the house.<br><br>

There was a short amount of time between the introduction of stealth and the ability to secure and lock down items in houses. During those few weeks I stealthed into probably 20 houses and looted them.
